Hacienda Agro Bosque
We aim to make restore a degraded pasture back into a food forest
About
We are a Black and Latinx owned farm. The 67 acre farm was originally purchased for leisure and a weekend getaway. However, we realized that it could be used for good, and pivoted to create a cacao, plantain, and breadfruit farm. The farm’s model is to provide jobs directly to the community, building capacity in learning eco/regenerative farming techniques, and creating a revenue sharing model that goes well beyond “fair trade”.
